This is the Songline of Gadu, the ocean, whose job it is to care for all of the creatures of the sea. Songlines are lines of energy that join places, animals and people (people like us!). The turtles in this painting represent kindness and friendship; the stingray is a symbol of strength; the whales are our warrior spirits; and the fish stand for the bond between us and our food sources. We are connected to the saltwater and the life it holds, which is why my handprints are on the painting. We all have a responsibility to listen to the stories of Gadu and look after each other and the ocean.
