This painting is a kaleidoscope of the colours and shapes that make up family. There are no hard lines or forms to be seen – it is a coming together in joyous celebration of the many unique individual pieces to form a unified whole. The Songlines all come back to the family circle at the centre of the painting, even though they are also heading out in their own different directions. There are no rules and no defined space that is required in order to fit into this representation of family. It is the foundation from which to launch and a place to come home to.
